Tube end preparation - an important topic in orbital welding In order to achieve an optimal result in orbital welding, a thorough preparation of the tubes is indispensable. With our pipe end processing equipment, the basis is easily laid. First, the pipe to be processed is locked in the clamping unit by the clamping jaws. In general, our
devices function similarly to a lathe. A cutting steel lifts a chip from the surface of the face of the tube - here a right-angled cut on "plane" is important. We have two devices for pipe end trimming in our portfolio:
- OrbiPlan 38 and OrbiPlan 115
Both machines are used to prepare I-seams for orbital welds and cover a range of 3 - 114.3 mm. In addition, we also offer pipe end milling machines of the types: MF series, which are produced in cooperation with the company DWT GmbH.
